Phoebe Norris
Meet Anni ! She’s 15 years old and is absolutely blessed to be in grade 11 at Ipswich Girls Grammar School. She lives on a small hobbie farm in Fairney View and is incredibly passionate about music; composing, ‘jamming’, and performing occasionally. She loves to compose more often using lyrics and a chord accompaniment however also experiments with orchestral instruments.
The voice/ accompaniment songs she has written are often authentic and real in their lyrics, and reflect elements of folk music, or singer songwriter music. Her instrumental pieces however are often cultural, exploring diverse cultural identities through music.
Anni dreams to take her music into the film industry and score movies, God willing, following the footsteps of some of her inspirations: Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard and John Williams.
Bianca Shaw
For as long as she could remember Bianca Shaw has never stopped singing, the 22yr old Australian born girl has always found herself unable to sit still let alone stop singing when she would hear a tune or when she was with her family listing to amazing artists such as Whitney Houston, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, the Beatles, Carrie Underwood and so many more.
Apart from just having a love for music Bianca was self taught with the help of her mum for many years then went on to get vocal training as well as learning to play the piano and started to find that she loved nothing more than to be up on the stage and do what she loves more than anything.
She would later go on to tour all around Australia with a singing group based in Newcastle NSW called Iron and Clay where she would preform and record and spend a ridiculous amount of time on the tour bus which she wouldn’t of traded for the world.
And now she’s looking to continue to do what she loves most, currently working on some new songs and some new collabs in the works as well as getting some awesome opportunities to preform at some up and coming events which are soon to be announced.
Paulina Schuemann
“For me singing is a bridge to reach people and touch their souls.” – Paulina
German born, 15 year old Paulina Schuemann, moved to Ipswich at the age of two, and considers herself more Australian than German. She stunned her parents and friends by imitating her favourite songs at an early age of 5 and was immediately given guitar and singing lessons. She continued learning the guitar, however stopped her singing lessons, as she wasn’t interested in the style of music that was taught. She later on learnt the saxophone during one of her school’s music programs (Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School) and has since been playing it.
By inheriting the love of old school artists and bands such as The Beatles, Tracy Chapman and Crowded House from her parents and combining that with a love of current pop and folk artists such as Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Adele and Amy Winehouse, she became the artist she is today. She hopes to be able to share her talent by performing live more in the future, and dreams of one day touching many people’s hearts, and sharing her passion and love through her music.
