“SOUL, INTELLIGENCE, WIT AND WISDOM, HISTORY AND MYSTERY AND A VOICE THAT BRINGS IT ALL TOGETHER – DON’T MISS HER, FOR FEAR THAT YOU MIGHT MISS THE VERY THING YOU NEED.” (Shane Howard)

Irish born singer-songwriter Áine Tyrrell, cradles the spirit of her native homeland in her music, and tips the cap to a notable family history of Irish music tradition.
Ache, honesty, elated melodies and garnishing rhythms which a thousand years of ancestry have slammed foot to floorboards to for both celebration and protest. Áine’s music has grown from those traditional Irish roots into a truly contemporary sound. Her music is tribal and wild, but also fragile and heartbreaking, and most of all immaculately crafted.
2016 was a stellar year for Áine – in addition to her massive touring schedule, she joined Paul Kelly, Shane Howard, Pauline Scanlon, Declan O’Rourke, John Spillane and her father Seán Tyrrell on the national concert tour for Exile, an exclusive line-up of outstanding Irish and Australian artists who came together for a celebration of Irish influence in Australia, creating a rich tapestry of stories, imagery and music in honour of the Irish exiles.
