Annie at the Helm

Annie at the Helm is the new project for Indie folk pop songstress Sarah Hogan who proves that raw talent and honest song writing is alive and well. An emotive performer, Sarah’s unique style often compels her audiences to reflect upon their own personal journey as she performs with the skill of a folk veteran well beyond her years. “Her poetry flows with an artisan’s ease, steeped in a sense that something is going on beyond face value” (Happy Mag).

Her beautifully produced synth folk debut single ‘ Young’ was picked up by UK writer and producer duo Andy Keen and Chris Skarratt for the award winning international short film; The Last Intimate Thing. Since then, Sarah has played string of shows including a set at Big Sound; Australia’s leading new music festival and industry conference alongside well known acts such as The Tesky Brothers, IV League and British India.

A regular performer in her home town of Ipswich; Sarah has seduced crowds from stages such as Studio 188, Goleby’s Basement, The Arena, The Milk Factory and The Brightside. The new EP ‘Waters of Love’ is set to be released under the new musical alias that is Annie at the Helm in October 2020. Keep your eyes and ears out; this songstress will captivate you.
