Sunday 25th July – 10am to 2pm

Tuesday 27th July – 6pm to 8pm

Saturday 7th August – 10am to 1pm

What to bring: Pen & paper – feel free to bring your instrument and laptop to make tracks if you want to!

What to expect: Over the course of this workshop series, we’ll cover the basics of songwriting – the fundamental building blocks such as lyrics, melody, composition and song structure. We’ll learn how to develop a clear message, using storyboards and brainstorming to map out song content. We’ll also discuss ways to enhance your storytelling with the use of literary devices, rhyming structures, repetition and contrast to give your songs some extra polish.

Every workshop will be very practical with time allocated to apply what you’ve learnt in each session. Whether you’ve written songs before or are just starting out, we want to help you level up your skills as a songwriter. So bring an open mind and get ready to have some fun creating and jamming – we will see you there!

BEMAC and RASN would like to thank Studio 188 and Spirits of the Red Sand for hosting the workshops and for their continued support.
