Firewire is a lively Jazz funk band who are infectious to watch. The band comprises of Antony Visser leading on trombone, Evan Osborne on Trumpet and Flugelhorn, Meg Burstow on keys, Jeremy Ellis on Bass and Callum Kennedy on drums. The group are final year jazz students, or graduands, of the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University, and have been playing professionally together for the past two years. They’ve performed at numerous events throughout Brisbane, including the ever popular Queen Street Mall.

Their set-list will include some of your favourite Jazz covers, quality Jazz standard, as well as some of their own original numbers.With influences such as the Swedish trombonist Nils Landgren, Trombone Shorty from the States, Roy Hargrove and Fred Wesley, you’ll be itching to dance to these funky tunes.
