Bernoulli
This group of talented musicians have emerged from the Queensland Conservatorium, the breeding ground for some of Australia’s most influential jazz artists. Featuring Beth Foad on vocals, Daniel James on drums, Matt Teakle on guitar, Hal Chandler on bass and Theo Parrott on piano and saxophone; Bernoulli plays their own brand of modern jazz inspired music.
Amongst others, the band will be performing songs from the upcoming EP “I Hope You Like It”, their first studio project. These songs written by Beth and arranged by the band, bring a unique style of soulful teenage angst, influenced heavily by Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Fleetwood Mac and Radiohead. These songs with deceptively simple yet catchy melodies, are backed up by masterful musicianship which belies the age of this young band.
Their performance at Studio 188, closing out a year full of amazing jazz, features Beth Foad on vocals, Daniels James on drums, Matthew Teakle on guitar, Hal Chandler on electric bass, and Theo Parrot on piano.
