Ipswich Unearthed shines the spotlight on emerging talent from the Ipswich region and allows opportunity for the next up-and-coming artists to grace the stage in a laid-back and supportive environment.

✰ Connor Pollard ✰

Armed with his acoustic guitar, Singer-Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Connor Pollard aims to make a personal connection through his original music. Blending genres such as indie rock, with a sprinkle of folk and pop, ranging from high energy rock to slow acoustic ballads, his musical ability is sure to take you on a moving sonic journey. Connor writes personal songs from the heart about the people, places and experiences that have shaped him into the musical artist he is today.

Connor’s first performance was in high school at his Senior Arts Showcase, he has since played gigs all across Ipswich including the Goodna Haven Markets, Springfield Markets and the Tivoli Drive In.

Connor hopes to make a name for himself in his home city before taking on the rest of the world, as well as forming an original band to progress beyond a solo acoustic act.

 

✰ Elly Rowbotham ✰

“My goal in performing is to take the audience away on a journey.” – Elly Rowbotham.

Local singer-songwriter and musical powerhouse Elly Rowbotham has a love and passion for a variety of genres. Elly strives to convey the story and meaning of songs through emotion to hook the audience, exploring genres such as Pop, Country and Musical Theatre. From ballads to character pieces, Elly is a mixed bag, and she is sure to surprise every time.

Elly’s captivating stage presence is evident given her extensive performance history, including School Musicals, South-East Queensland Eisteddfods, the Lord Mayors Christmas Carols, and most recently a lead in the Christmas show at Southbank Piazza. It’s obvious when you witness her performance that the stage is her home.

Elly is excited to grow her musical ability and experiences to reach her future goals.

 

✰ Billie Wild ✰

14 year old emerging rock rebel and singer-songwriter Billie Wild quotes “I want to be the next Suzie Quatro”.

She is an Indigenous-Australian artist that expresses her beliefs through the deep emotion of her original music, and the carefully selected stickers on her guitar.

Billie’s musical style and passion is rooted in her love of Pop/Rock music, and pays homage to her favourite artists such as old-school Lady Gaga, Girl In Red, Stevie Nicks and her ultimate idol Suzie Quatro.

Billie was influenced by her older sister Samantha Wild to pursue her own music career at a young age. Billie has performed at a variety of venues in Central Queensland, such as Yeppoon Pine Fest, the Emu Park Beef to Beach Festival, Springfield Markets, as well as performing at her High School.

Billie released her first original single ‘Wrong’ in October 2020, you can listen via her YouTube channel HERE.

Billie is currently working on a new song called ‘Under Your Skin’, which is more in line with the Rock sound she aspires to achieve.

Billie is a trail blazer and plans to move her music career up a gear as she continues to write more original music and perform around South-East Queensland.

 

✰ Lydia Romaguera Martinez ✰

Lydia Romaguera Martinez is a budding young singer from Westside Christian College who loves nothing more than singing to her family and friends.

She is a singer/songwriter who is mastering the art of performing under the tutelage of her Music Teacher Mr. Hayden Wilcox.

She has performed at Youth Alive’s ‘United We Stand’ and has sung at her local youth group as a lead singer and backing vocalist, and wants to be a music teacher when she finishes school.

She has been singing ever since she was little but has only taken it seriously during the past few years.

She loves listening to artists such as Birdy, Lauren Daigle, Ed Sheehan and The Head and The Heart.
