Selfish Sons

Selfish Sons are a three-piece alternative rock band from Brisbane, Australia. Making rock music with pop sensibility, these brothers have established themselves as eccentric entertainers with a powerful sound.

The rock outfit consists of brothers Jordy and Finn who met Jonty in a commercial audition waiting room at the age of 8. This spontaneous friendship grew tenfold through High School after realising that their love for infectious melodies and talking shit was better suited to writing songs ‘tongue in cheek’ for an aptly named band, not getting kicked out of a classroom. This led to their eclectic amalgam of rock/pop nostalgia circa early 2000’s.

After many devious nights and failed cover attempts , the addictive energy of live shows became an obsession. Since the release of their debut EP ‘Sixfour’ in 2019 accumulating over 500,000 streams,  they have been on four tours and independently Sold out six headline shows at iconic Australian venues across the east coast.

The band has spent the better part of 2020 focused on songwriting and honing their sonic, with new music scheduled for release in the coming months.

Ella Fence

Award winning songwriter & performer Ella Fence (Gold Coast) is a power-femme artist who embraces reinvention and experimentation within her music. She’s been described as a musical “shape-shifter”. Ella has toured and performed in USA, Berlin, England (including Great Escape Festival, Alternative Escape), Canada (Canadian Music Week), and Norway, as well nationally across Australia.

Ella Fence is working hard on new music, growing her live show and band as well as a string of exciting live shows including performing live on stage with Katie Noonan as well as at the Commonwealth Games Festival 2018 supporting Kate Miller-Heidke and Regurtitator.

“She’s a gem” – ABC Radio

Damien Johnson

“With a collection of emotionally raw songs, Damien Johnson moves listeners with unique lyricism and tonal depth” – Happy Mag

Originally born in Sydney, NSW, Damien Johnson has at one stage or another called Armidale, Bundaberg, Brisbane, Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast, ‘home’. He now resides in the city of Ipswich, 45mins west of Brisbane.

Growing up in regional centers where peer acceptance came through playing sports, Damien did not explore his musical and artistic abilities until later in life, first taking up guitar as a 16 year old as a means of coping with heartbreak and loss.

Damien has always struggled to ‘fit in’ and has often felt misunderstood and rejected throughout his life, frequently wrestling with his self-identity, spirituality, sexuality and gender.

In 2019 Damien released his first EP, titled, ‘Parked’, which featured four tracks, with the stand out being the up-beat pop-rock song, ‘Hot Days’.

The following year saw Damien release a full length album, ‘Passive Aggression’, which was entirely self-produced and began to define Damien as a looping artist who fused elements of hip-hop and indie rock. The title of the album came from the idea that many of Damien’s song lyrics, though general in nature, were often directed at very specific individuals and that music was Damien’s way of passively releasing his hurt towards those individuals.

In 2020 Damien’s music evolved further, taking on a heavier, electronic element, whilst also maintaining the looping and hip-hop elements of the previous release. He ended the year with back to back sold out shows in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

Damien has received national airplay and has featured in local, national and international publications. He has shared the stage with the likes of Daryl Braithwaite, The Temper Trap and The Angels and has charted on Triple J Unearthed.
