The Beamish Brothers

The Beamish Brothers are a rising duo of multitalented siblings whose motto is to turn politics into pop. Their latest singles, Dollar At The
Heart and Nature are anthems for self-empowerment and political awareness, the latter of which becoming a runner-up to represent
Australia in Eurovision, with a snippet teased on live national TV.
Ben and Jeremy’s introduction into the music industry came as topliners collaborating with international producers, receiving more than 15 million streams across their work while only 19 and 21. Now as published writers with Embassy Music, they continue to hone in the craft of pop writing, working with the likes of Jeppe Pilgaard (Alexander Oscar, Faustix, TooManyLeftHands, Rusika and Clara), JFDR (Olafur Arnalds), Tyler Beans (Miley Cyrus, Harry Styles, Mark Ronson) and local talents Hallie, Soft Nylon, Sahara Beck, Needs No Sleep and Tina Says whose Triple J-charting track features Jeremy’s “soothing velvety vocals”. As artists, the brothers bring a fearless attitude to every song they release, promoting concepts such as mental health and LGBTQ+ rights in a way that’s effortlessly authentic to their own experiences. Most recently, the brothers were awarded grant funding from Arts Queensland in support of their recently released single, Dollar At The Heart, which sees the brothers call out corporate greed. In what is shaping up to be their biggest track yet, the song has already amassed 90K views on YouTube in less than a month and continues to rise through the ranks with coverage from Tone Deaf and Milky.
Having opened for Tia Gostelow, toured Japan and South Korea, performed on the main stage at the Empire Theatre (Toowoomba), Hidden Lanes Festival, National Live Music Awards at The Triffid and QPAC Green Jam, the brothers are no strangers to the stage. It’s at their shows where you can find their growing fanbase singing their songs back to them, a playlist of handcrafted tracks with over half a million streams. With more thought-provoking pop tunes set for release, The Beamish Brothers are carving out their own unique careers in a landscape where discussing ‘the big issues’ is needed more than ever.

Beks

Beks is songwriter and DIY girl, Rebecca Callander. Beks makes indie-pop music centred around her life’s stories with remnants of her past experiences as the front-women guitarist of all girl punk band RACKETT and drummer of Bec and Ben serving the songwriters journey to becoming Beks.

Based in Sydney, Australia, Rebecca has toured Australia and Japan, playing more than 364 live shows from dive bars to major theatres and festivals, shaping the artist into a highly engaged performer; “thrilling live shows, technically proficient and powerful sounds and a DIY hyper-femme aesthetic.” – The BRAG. Rebecca’s work has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, The Music, Music Feeds and more and has been played regularly on community radio stations Triple J, Triple J Unearthed, FBI and more.

Brooke Austen

Brooke Austen is a singer-songwriter who writes to understand the world around her. Hailing from Central Queensland, she has been bounding through the Brisbane music scene over the last four years, sharing her soulful, vocal-led tunes with anyone who’ll listen. She sets out to weave the sounds of the city with the feel of a small town.

Brooke’s debut single ‘Ghosts’ garnered praise for her “haunting, silky vocals reminiscent of the opening of an Evanescence ballad” (Music is my Muse), Tommy Faith (Triple J Unearthed) noting that “Brooke isn’t afraid to go all in with her vocal”.   Compared to artists like Mia Wray, Meg Mac and Sara Bareilles, she’ll draw you in and won’t let you leave until you’ve heard what she has to say.

Enamored by the way music can tell a story, Brooke has also composed original scores and soundtracks for “Key Insights to Nearby Galaxies” and “Opportunity”, new plays presented at Anywhere Festival (2018) and Short & Sweet (2019) respectively.

Some highlights so far include playing the mainstage at Ipswich Festival (2019), releasing her debut single ‘Ghosts’ and playing live on ABC Radio Brisbane (2019).
