UPCOMING OPPORTUNITIES

DRAMA

shake & stir theatre co will present a 1 hour workshop focusing on the genres of physical and ensemble theatre and encourage students to make bold choices when finding and playing heightened characters. This is an exciting opportunity for budding actors to work with industry professionals using excerpts from the Animal Farm script. Spaces are strictly limited and by application only.

When: Tuesday 21st April 4pm – 5:15pm
Where: Studio 188 (188 Brisbane Street, Ipswich)

Applying is FREE, however successful applicants must confirm their acceptance by purchasing a ticket to attend the Animal Farm performance at the Ipswich Civic Centre on 28th April – Student tickets are $22.00. Seats have been reserved so that you will be sitting with other workshop attendees. Following the performance, workshops students are invited to a QnA session with the Animal Farm cast.

Want to get paid to perform in front of family and friends and learn the ropes of goes into producing a live music event?

Studio 188 is on the hunt for aspiring local singers, instrumentalists and musicians to perform as part of the popular bimonthly Ipswich Unearthed series. Join this musical journey of discovery as we unearth young emerging musical talent destined to become Australia’s next pop sensations, country rock legends or acoustic singer-songwriters.

Young emerging songwriters will have the opportunity to flex their performance muscles on the professional Studio 188 stage and attend the Ipswich Unearthed Workshop where they will learn personalised tips and tricks for artist and event promotion, technical requirements, getting paid and much more.

The aim of Ipswich Unearthed is to arm local emerging artists with the business and performance skills needed to succeed as an independent artist in the Australian music industry.
