Here at Studio 188, we’re commited to continuing to deliver programs supporting our local Creative Arts Scene, so please keep an eye on our socials for any future programs we roll out.

See below the media release from BIGSOUND:
“In yet another blow to the Australian music industry, COVID-19 has forced BIGSOUND to be cancelled.
Melbourne’s snap lockdown, the extension of Greater Sydney’s lockdown, the growing COVID outbreaks, and increasing restrictions that are in effect across Australia have made it painfully clear that our much-loved conference and new music festival cannot responsibly take to the stage.
Without our music mates in New South Wales and Victoria and no certain timeline as to when domestic borders will remain open, BIGSOUND 2021 wouldn’t be able to deliver on its promise to reunite the music community for three extraordinary days of connection, conversation, and music discovery.
As 2021 marks BIGSOUND’s 20th anniversary, we are committed to coming through the unpredictable and relentless nature of COVID to celebrate this significant milestone with something special later this year, so watch this space for more to be revealed in the coming months.
The BIGSOUND team has begun work immediately on a 2022 event to bring the industry together on the other side of this difficult time, hopefully with international friends and colleagues able to join.”
In our commitment to continuing to foster the growth of the Ipswich Music Community, Studio 188 is excited to announce its new Road to BIGSOUND program in which three (3) emerging Ipswich-based Musicians and/or Music Industry Professionals will be selected to attend the BIGSOUND Music Conference and Festival on 7-9 September 2021 in Brisbane.
Studio 188 is committed to providing performance, skill development and networking opportunities to local music practitioners. The Road to BIGSOUND program is an opportunity to rub shoulders with like-minded music folk, industry professionals and further your musical career.
