The Ipswich City Council’s Protege Master Classes and the I Heart Songwriting Club are pleased to present the second edition of their popular songwriting mentor series.

FREE | ALL AGES

Learn to write songs like never before and be mentored across a 10 week online songwriting program with local Singer-Songwriters Dee Bradbery (Wild Eyed Wonder), Clayton Francis, Brooke Austen and Taylor Wilton. Improve your creative skills and explore whats possible in this guided songwriting workshops open to Ipswich-based songwriters of all ages and abilities.
The series was first introduced in 2019, with 8 young Ipswich based songwriters writing over 80 songs as part of the program and going on to perform on stages and at events all over South East Queensland. Based on such extraordinary results, we’ve decided to run the program again in a more socially-distanced format.
Each week participants are given a new songwriting lesson, challenge and brief to write a song within 1 hour. Your mentor is there to provide feedback and discuss your song each week.
It’s time to unleash your creative potential.

What is the I Heart Songwriting Club?

The I Heart Songwriting Club is a global community providing a platform for songwriters around the world to enhance creative practice through an online songwriting club. Founded by Brisbane-based singer-songwriter Francesca de Valence, the club has grown from its original small group of songwriters to over 650 songwriters from over 16 countries who have written over 8000 songs. Members are songwriters of all ages and levels of experience, some are published songwriters and some are brand new songwriters. Songs created through the I Heart Songwriting club have been nominated for ARIA Awards, are synced to BBC films and recorded on albums and EPs, have been written into musicals, have been performed all around the world on festival stages, can be heard on radio and podcasts internationally, and some have won prestigious music industry awards.
